Spotted This Week – June 1st – Irish Interest
I’m kind of short on time this week, but I want to throw out a couple of links I found this week that you may like.
Patrick Clifford an Irish-American musician posted a free track on his blog that you may like. The Galtee Mountain Boy is an old Irish rebel song about Seán Hogan’s West Cork Flying Column. Patrick does a really nice job of this song, like he does of many other Irish songs such as Spancil Hill and Thousands Are Sailing. Check him out – if you like Irish music, then I’m sure you’ll find his sound appealing.
High-energy, adventure sports are becoming quite popular in Ireland. The Discover Ireland blog recently did a nice piece about what kind of sports are on the rise, and where you can partake. There’s one or 2 on there that I may have the energy/ability for, but most are probably for the thrill-seeking, afraid-of-nothing folk.

Just in time for Father’s Day the good people over at the Irish Fireside are giving away a set of Irish Coin Cufflinks. There’s only a couple of days or so to get in on this one, so get on over there if you’re interested.
If you missed my post earlier in May, about unique Irish gifts that you can find in stores or on the web, you may want to take a look. I started out with 10 ideas, and thanks to some feedback on Facebook and the blog, I think the number is up to 15 or 16 unique ideas now.
Til next week…
